The idea was, to let the kids creatively create the sceneries and move the figures picture for picture. I wrote the storyboard in advance, then helped the kids with the scenery and taking pictures. Afterwards, I conducted the voice recordings with a field recorder and then combined all the images, videos and voicing in Adobe After Effects. Eventually, I recorded some music and put it all together.
